Microsoft Azure , known as Windows Azure, it is cloud computing platform. It provides various services under different categories.

Sharing of resources and software's is known as cloud computing.

Cloud computing = SaaS + PaaS + IaaS.

Introduction to Windows Azure

Azure Components:

• Compute : Web role, worker role and VM
• Storage : Table, Queues, Blobs, VHD's
• Fabric: Service Bus, Caching, Integration and Composite

Types of Clouds:

Private Cloud : It is owned by specific organization and cost is high 
Public Cloud : Commercial use and pay as you go. 
Hybrid Cloud : This will act as both private and public cloud.
